Tiffany Michelle Receives 2008 WSOP Main Event Last Woman Standing Award

On October 13th, 2008, the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event Last Woman Standing recognition was awarded to Tiffany Michelle and at the 4th annual Road 2 Recovery Charity Poker Event held at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend, she was the last participant standing. The event was very successful in earning more than $43,000 for the Injured Riders Foundation.

Around 67 players showed up to support the event including Sixty-seven players showed up in support, including Layne Flack, Jon Friedberg, Hoyt Corkins, Todd Brunson, Brandon Cantu, Jennifer Harman, Marco Traniello, Karina and Chip Jett, Adam Schoenfeld, and Maria Ho. Jeff Madsen, together with Road 2 Recovery founder Jimmy Button, hosted the tournament and Jamie Gold and Robert Williamson III are the emcees of the tournament. The donation to participate in the tournament was $300 and the 160 $100 re-buys and add- ons improved the total number of cash raised for charity.

Flack won the recognition for most re-donations at twenty-three but Michelle was not far behind with nineteen. Those re-buys paid it big time for Michelle. She edge out Jeff Madsen heads-up to grab the 1st place prize, which included a World model sports watch given by CurtisandCo., a 22 pounds crystal trophy made by Legacy Alliance, hotel suite accommodations at the MGM as well as $10,000 cash entry into the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Michelle pledge to donate 5 percent of any winnings to Road 2 Recovery's Injured Riders Fund. The Road 2 Recovery Foundation is a charity group that gives financial, motivational, emotional and spiritual support to AMA licensed motocross/supercross members who have sustained injuries that ended their career.
