The FSN To Show the WPT's New Season

On July 31st, 2008, the World Poker Tour Enterprises Incorporated has collaborated with FoxSports Net in an agreement involving the World Poker Tour's online assets. The World Poker Tour Enterprises and FSN will launched their partnership on September with the creation of a television series based on the World Poker Tour Enterprises' subscription and sweepstakes gambling offering.

Every week players will have the opportunity to win a slot in the television series by participating in poker and blackjack event on CLUBWPT.com. Weekly episodes broadcast on FSN will show a brand new final table with members fighting it out for cash prizes. Conducted under the sweepstakes rules of the United States, CLUBWPT.com is a subscription based online poker club featuring poker and blackjack tournaments everyday targeting sixty million poker players in the U.S.

Poker players receive points in order to participate in more than four thousand live poker and blackjack events, sit-n-go events and ring games for an opportunity to win more than $100,000 in cash prizes every month, including a $10,000 seat to the World Poker Tour main event.

For a subscription fee of $19.95 every month, members of CLUBWPT.com will receive additional benefits like poker magazine subscriptions, travel and entertainment discounts in Las Vegas and other VIP benefits. George Greenberg, FSN Executive Vice President of Programming and Production said that they are happy with their partnership with the World Poker Tour and are looking forward on what the partnership will bring in the near future.

Steve Lipscomb, the World Poker Tour founder, President and Chief Executive Officer said that they are also looking forward on what the partnership with FSN will bring for their organization. FSN's sixteen regional networks and its affiliated networks reach more than eighty million household across the United States. Aside from the CLUBWPT.com television show, FSN will also show twenty-six episodes of the Season VII of the World Poker Tour.
