Tabatabai Joins Betfair Poker Together With Obrestad, Mizzi

On May 21st, 2008, Betfair announced that twenty-three year old John Tabatabai is the latest poker star to join their roster of talented players like Sorel Mizzi and Annette Obrestad. Tabatabai, who is originally from Cardiff but are now living in London, Tabatabai's interest before playing poker was chess and he even participated in European and World Championships. He later learned poker while studying at University and used his skills in chess to improve his poker skills.

He first captured the interest of the poker industry when he played against Annette Obrestad at the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe and has since proved his worth by winning the All Africa Poker Event. Tabatabai has now been playing poker for 5 year. Bruce Stubbs, the Director of Poker at Betfair said that Tabatabai is an aggressive and good poker player.

Although he did not win the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe, he was able to prove his worth on the succeeding poker events that he has joined like the All Africa Poker Event. John Tabatabai will be representing Betfair Poker at the World Series of Poker Event in Las Vegas and he will be playing in Betfair Poker regularly.
