Ludovic Lacay Finishes in 16th Place at the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event

Poker pro Ludovic Lacay's 2009 WSOP Main Event dream ended with his 16th place finish on July 16th, 2009 when he lost a coin flip against poker pro Jeff Shulman. The French poker player has mixed feelings about his placement at the 2009 WSOP Main Event. Lacay said that he is very disappointed but proud of his performance at the same time. He added that his total winnings of more than $500,000 are a lot of money so he had no regrets.

Lacay had been at the top of the 2009 WSOP Main Event leader for quite sometime but when the time he needed it most, he did not find any good hands. Lacay stated that he is very lucky to reach this payout level. He said that he could have played different in some instances but in the end, you have to accept that you make some good and bad decisions.

Lacay said the he should have been out two days ago but he won with his kings vs. the ace cards that his opponent held. Topping his runner-up finish in the 2007 World Poker Tour Spanish Championship, this is Lacay's biggest accomplishment to date. He said that although he failed to won the 2009 WSOP Main Event but there are other tournaments that he can join like the EPT and the WPT. He added that he is hopeful that he will win another tournament in the near future.
