Dave Ulliott Hosts How to Become a Poker Millionaire on ITV

On September 7th, 2008, Dave Ulliott made his debut as a poker show host in the U.K. with the T.V. premier of How to Become a Poker Millionaire on ITV in Wales. The show made its debut with the Devilfish reviewing participants on the show. The show will feature beginners in the game whom Ulliott will put through intense training over the course of 4 episodes. The players had to prove their poker abilities last week and now they will go online and play for money on some poker events. Not only Ulliott will give them some poker tips that they can use and training to help them on their quest, he will also be providing them with cash from his own pocket to play online as they learn the ropes.

According to Red and Black Films, the makers of the How to Become a Poker Millionaire, part of the attraction of the show is that it is not only a reality poker show about poker players trying to polish their poker skills, but also a show that can help a player catapult their career to stardom. The show consists of four losing players who are trained by Ulliott for more than a month. Then they will play against one another and be eliminated one by one on each episode of the show.

The last player standing will receive the bankrolls all the players have accumulated plus a slot in the next World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas. Ulliott certainly has the capacity to teach the new players the ropes of the business. Ulliott has accumulated more than $5 million in tournament winnings. He also has a World Series of Poker bracelet as well as a World Poker Tour win on his poker resume.

The show also includes interviews with other known poker players all over the world, sharing their knowledge about poker to poker enthusiasts. The next episode of the show will be on September 11th, 2008.
